My favorite sports event/memory/moment is ... Representing Rowan University in the division III final four in 2018. With a sheet of ice on the turf, my teammates and I had the opportunity to play in the Spooky Nook Bubble in Lancaster, PA.

In addition to Coaching with Centercourt Field Hockey, Rachel Galante is Fairleigh Dickinson University’s newest addition to their coaching staff. She will serve as a graduate assistant to the Devil’s for their next two seasons. Prior to coaching in the MAC Freedom conference, Rachel competed in the NJAC for Rowan University.

Rachel was a four-year starter at Rowan University, where she led the Profs to their first NJAC championship in 2018 since 2009. She was a four-time NFHCA National Academic Squad Recipient, NJAC Offensive Player of the Year, Rowan University’s Woman of the Year, a member of the 2018 NCAA All-Tournament Team, NFHCA All-American First Team, NJAC All-Conference first Team, and South Atlantic Region Player of the Year and to the All-Region first team. She was also selected to play in the NFHCA Senior All-Star Game.

In her four years at Rowan, the Profs went 61-20 overall, with her fourth and final season being 22-1. She totaled 58 goals and 25 assists totaling in 141 points overall. 12 of her 58 goals were game winners. In the conference she ranked first in points, goals and game-winning goals and tied for fourth in assists. She was fourth in goals per game (1.30) and seventh in points per game (2.96) in the NCAA statistics.

She has coached at various field hockey camps, clinics and events including: USA Futures, Regional Futures Tournament, Xplosive Sports Academy Camp at Rowan University, and Competitor’s Edge Camps at Fairleigh Dickinson.
