Manj Singh

DIRECTOR OF FLAG FOOTBALL – MONTCLAIR

My favorite sports memory/moment/event is…. in 1989 when the Dallas Cowboys were 1-15 under 1st year head coach Jimmy Johnson. Why was that my favorite? Coach Johnson stuck to what he believed in, no matter the record and brought life back into Dallas by creating a dynasty in the 90’s with capturing 2 of the 3 Super Bowls. He brought the love, attitude and respect back to America’s team!

Manj Singh was born and raised in Montclair, New Jersey where he played baseball as well as football.

Singh coached youth football in 2002 and enjoys developing the talent of the players as the feeder program for the high school.

Developing the youth, pushing them to levels to exceed when they don’t believe that they can do it is where Singh’s coaching strength lies.

Working his way from the travel programs of Montclair to the Bloomfield youth programs, and from there to Don Bosco Preparatory as the freshman and JV coach and assistant for Varsity. Coach Singh went on to be the Defensive Line coach of Saint Joes Varsity team and head JV coach.

Coach Singh became (current) the head coach for Glen Ridge where within 2 years he began to see results growing the program from 19 players to ending the season with 38 players and expecting the roster to hit 45 by September.

This past spring Coach Singh started a flag football league in five years which gained traction immediately.

Coach Singh puts heart and passion into everything he does from real estate to coaching football and coaching his daughter’s elementary school basketball team.
