VOLLEYBALL COACH – MT. OLIVE
Gabbi Broadus is a current NCAA Division II student-athlete and experienced Libero/Defensive Specialist who brings more than six years of competitive volleyball experience and a passion for athlete development to the coaching staff. Her journey through the sport—from four years of high-level club competition to multiple tournament medal finishes—has been defined by versatility, leadership, and a commitment to continuous growth.
Having transitioned from an outside hitter at the middle and high school levels to a collegiate defensive specialist, Broadus offers a unique perspective on both offensive systems and defensive transitions. Her multi-positional background allows her to effectively mentor athletes as they develop specialized roles while maintaining a strong all-around technical foundation. She is particularly passionate about helping players navigate key stages of development, building the skills and confidence needed to succeed at higher levels of competition.
Broadus’s coaching philosophy is rooted in a player-centered approach that emphasizes the development of the whole athlete, both on and off the court. Having served as Team Captain for both her club and high school varsity teams, she understands that success is built on the foundations of connection, accountability, resilience, and trust. She strives to create an environment where athletes feel empowered to take risks, learn from challenges, and develop a lifelong love for the game.
As she continues her own journey as a collegiate athlete and coach, Broadus is committed to providing quality instruction that focuses on effort, growth, and the development process. Her goal is to help athletes build the skills, confidence, and mindset necessary to achieve success at the next level while becoming strong leaders both on and off the court.
