DIRECTOR OF FLAG FOOTBALL – GILLETTE & MORRISTOWN
Chase Vena serves as the Director of Football for Centercourt Morristown and Gillette, bringing more than nine years of varsity coaching experience and a lifelong connection to the game as both a player and coach.
Vena began playing football at age five and continued through Seneca High School in Tabernacle, New Jersey. He went on to play collegiately at The College of New Jersey, where he competed at tight end and appeared in every game.
Since transitioning into coaching, Vena has gained experience across multiple areas of the game. He spent five seasons at Hopewell Valley Central High School in Pennington, New Jersey, coaching multiple position groups before serving as Defensive Coordinator and later Offensive Coordinator. He then joined the Ridge High School football program, first serving as Special Teams Coordinator before taking over as Offensive Coordinator and helping lead the program to another winning season.
In addition to traditional football, Vena has been instrumental in expanding opportunities for young athletes through flag football. He launched the first-ever girls flag football program at Ridge High School and has continued to grow youth participation in the sport through clinics and community programming.
As Director of Football at Centercourt, Vena is focused on building a comprehensive development pathway that provides athletes of all ages and skill levels with opportunities to learn, compete, and grow. From introducing young athletes to the fundamentals of the game and expanding flag football opportunities to developing competitive team programs, his approach emphasizes quality coaching, skill development, teamwork, and a genuine love for the sport.
With more than two decades of combined experience as a player and coach, Vena brings a player-first approach to athlete development. His goal is to create an environment where players can build confidence, strengthen their skills, embrace competition, and continue growing both on and off the field.
