Cara Marcoux

My favorite sports event/memory/moment is … playing in the division I Final Four with the University of Connecticut during my senior season in 2011 after coming up short in the elite eight the two years prior.

Cara Marcoux joins Centercourt with more than 20 years of experience playing field hockey and 10 years of experience coaching at the youth through college level. Most recently, Cara was the Assistant Coach at Stevens Institute of Technology during the 2022 season and was a volunteer assistant from 2017-2020. Prior to Stevens, Cara was the Head Coach at Hackensack High School for two seasons. On the club side, Marcoux was a Head Coach with The Edge Field Hockey Club from 2008-2011.

Cara Marcoux played collegiately at the University of Connecticut, where she was a four-year starter and was twice named to the All-Big East team and during her Junior season, was named to the All-Mideast Region. The Huskies made the NCAA Tournament in all four years and made a pair of Sweet 16 appearances, an Elite Eight and a trip to the Final Four. Marcoux ended her career with 35 goals and over 75 points for the huskies.

Cara resides in Lincroft, NJ with her husband, Daniel and 2-year-old son, Vincent.
