VOLLEYBALL COACH – MT. OLIVE

Centryll Scott is the Head Coach of the women’s and newly established men’s volleyball programs at the Fashion Institute of Technology. This marks his first head coaching opportunity at the NJCAA Division III level.

Prior to assuming the head coaching role, Scott served as an assistant coach for the Fashion Institute of Technology women’s volleyball team during the 2025 season. He helped lead the Tigers to a Region 15 Semifinal/North Atlantic B District Championship appearance while compiling a 19-2 overall record—an eight-win improvement over the previous season—and a 14-1 regional record. Under the coaching staff’s leadership, three student-athletes earned All-Region honors, including Region 15 Setter of the Year and NJCAA All-American Juun Shin.

In January 2026, Scott joined the Monroe University men’s volleyball program as an assistant coach. That season, the Monroe Express finished first in the NJCAA Region 15 standings with a 6-4 conference record and an 18-15 overall record—also an eight-win improvement from the previous year. The team capped off a historic season by earning a seventh-place finish at the NJCAA Championship Tournament.

With more than a decade of coaching experience, Scott has developed athletes at the high school, club, and collegiate levels. In 2019, he led the Teaneck High School boys volleyball team to a 19-4 record, the program’s best season since his own playing days. That year, Teaneck went undefeated in league play and captured its first league championship. In 2022, he guided the program to a 14-8 record and its first-ever appearance in the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 1 semifinals.

Scott is passionate about athlete development and has helped numerous student-athletes pursue collegiate volleyball opportunities, with several earning offers from NCAA Division II and Division III programs.

A 2013 graduate of Teaneck High School, Scott was a standout player, earning First Team All-League and First Team All-County honors in both 2012 and 2013. He continued his volleyball career at Penn State University, where he competed with the men’s club volleyball team and helped the program achieve fifth- and eighth-place finishes at the National Collegiate Club Volleyball Championship Tournament.

Scott earned his bachelor’s degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Montclair State University.
