Girls Lacrosse

My favorite sports event/memory/moment is ... when I was coaching at the high school level and we entered our country tournament. We were ranked number 12 and we were playing the number 5 team. We ended up winning the game and advancing to the next round in the county final for the first time. Those particular athletes truly played with heart and hustle and they mentally wanted to win that game. It was that moment and that win that truly made me realize that an athlete’s mental game is just as important as the physical aspect of the game. You have to want it to win it and believing you can makes all the difference.
