My favorite sports event/memory/moment … watching Goran Ivanisevic win Wimbledon in 2001. I was 10 years old, living in Croatia when Goran entered the 2001 Wimbledon championships as an unseeded player. Not much was expected as he was struggling heading into the tournament, yet in spite of all the odds he persevered and won his first and only Grand Slam. It was a crazy moment as soon as he won the match point as everyone came out of their houses and all Croatians celebrated for days.

Coach Knezevic was born in Croatia and was 8 years old when he began to play tennis at his local club. In 2010, he accepted a scholarship to play for a Junior College in Mississippi, then transferred to St Peter’s University in 2012 to continue his education and tennis competition. Coach Knezevic was named team captain in 2013. He graduated with a Bachelor in Science in International Business and Trade in 2014. After graduation, he worked in marketing, operations and sales for an international airline for 2 years before refocusing his attention on tennis and began teaching full time.

Coach Knezevic has taught tennis for over 10 years in a number of tennis clubs throughout Europe and the United States.  For the last two years, he has  been running his own summer camp and competitive program in Hudson County. He is currently working on his PTR certification. He has also served as a hitting partner for a number of ATP/WTA players during the US Open, such as Bernarda Pera and Borna Coric,

His other hobbies include skiing, hiking, fishing, and anything outdoors.
