My favorite sports event/memory/moment is...when I became an All-American National Champion at 20 years old. All the years of training I did came down to this moment and it clicked. It is my favorite memory because it reminds me of what I am capable of in competition. The match was held in Texas. I was down 2-5 in the third set, and everybody thought I was going to lose — everybody except for me. At this moment I felt how close I was to winning and saved 3 match points to come back and take the set 7-5. I learned that the times you feel like giving up are when you need to push yourself harder because these are the moments you are closest to success. The training is intense and sometimes when you focus on trying to win you forget how much you love actually playing the sport.
