Centercourt Instructors

My favorite sports event/memory/moment is..... Playing first singles for my high school team. The school matches and daily after school practice sessions were an absolute blast trying to lead my fellow teammates to become better, stronger, smarter. The mental side of tennis has always been intriguing; connecting with players to bring out their absolute best.

Coach Lai graduated from Parsippany Hills High School 2005, having played first singles all 4 years. Lai studied biomechanical and chemical engineering at Johns Hopkins University for 1.5 years before leaving to pursue a career as a professional poker player for 12 years.  Coach Lai returned to his tennis career and enjoys coaching players through the psychological aspect of resiliency, hard work, and focus to help players achieve their next level.
