My favorite sports event/moment/memory is…. in 2016 when I won my first major challenger doubles title at a $100,000 event in St. Petersburg, Russia. The final was an incredible experience and the last point of that match felt like all the hard work as a professional was worth everything. This made me realize how important it is to work hard and it gave me courage to coach a player that will one day experience the same joy as I did.
Coach Morgina is an ITF Level 1 coach. Moringa played 3 years for University of South Carolina, graduating in 2012. Morina reached her career high WTA ranking in singles 316 (13 futures titles) and doubles 165 (39 titles in futures and challengers).
Before coming to Centercourt, Coach Morgina accompanied a group of several junior players to train them as they were just starting their career at a pro level. During her playing years, Coach Morgina noted how important it was to have a coach who knew how to deal with her mistakes as a player. While Morgina was still competing professionally, she was part time coaching, travelling and playing doubles with younger players and helped them reach their first WTA rankings. Morginaa then decided that sharing her tennis knowledge with others was her real passion and retired as a playing professional to focus solely on her coaching career.
