My favorite sports event/memory/moment is ... when Derek Jeter made his 3,000th hit for the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium and I was at the game to see it. Jeter is an iconic athlete, teammate and captain. He is a prime example to youth what each of those labels mean.
Rachel brings her passion of sports and counseling background to Centercourt Club & Sports. She has six years of experience working with student athletes and helping them achieve their training goals. Additionally, Rachel has five years of experience working with youth and adolescents in a school setting as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for Sakowitz Counseling. She received her Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University and her Sports Counseling Certification from the California University of Pennsylvania. Rachel is currently the Director of the Gladiator Lacrosse Goalie School. This is a goalie specific training company in Morris and Bergen County which has successfully sent 85 goaltenders to the NCAA level to compete and counting. Rachel was a three-time MVP and regional All-American as a lacrosse goalie at Drew University. She was trained by and now continues to work alongside Ginny Capicchioni, the first female athlete to sign and play in the NLL on a men’s professional box lacrosse team.
