My favorite sports event/memory/moment is ... is the 2013 Rogers Cup in Canada when Rafa Nadal played against Novak Djokovic. The whole match was extremely physical, especially the second half. The one shot that stands out for me is when Rafa jumped a few feet straight up and absolutely pummels the ball for a winner. Very exhilarating.
Dalaney was born and raised in Denver where his father was a teaching pro. Tennis was a love they both shared. With a racquet in hand at age 4 Dalaney played through high school number one singles,while earning several USTA club championships in Denver and two in Rochester. At 16 Dalaney was accepted and moved to attend art school, SOTA at Eastman in Rochester, NY. He then went on to teach music for close to ten years. In 2008 Dalaney decided to pursue his first passion of tennis. He began teaching tennis in Ohio, then at a Fairfax VA country club while additionally coaching a girls high school team in the area. He spent a season as assistant coach at GWU in DC and came to Centercourt in April of 2016. Dalaney is USPTA and USPTR certified.
